Drifting fishing in Salento takes place on depths that can vary from 40 to 120 meters, with the boat anchored or leeway depending on the current. The exits departs from the Tourist Port of Santa Maria di Leuca all year round.

We carry out the catch and release for tuna except for the period in which it is allowed to catch it until the quotas are reached. The boat used has a regular license. From 1 to 4 rods will be spun (based on sea and current conditions and based on the behavior of the fish) primed with fresh or frozen sardine.

The prey that will be threatened are mostly blufin tuna of axcellent size. But surprises such as enticed tuna, swordfish, dolphin fish, large bonito, blue sharks can also happen.

This kind of fishing can give incredible satisfaction and is recommended to everyone, both experts and newbies of fishing. Our staff on board will guide beginners in every phase of fishing, from setting up equipment to fighting with fish in the rod.

THE BOAT

The boat designed for drifting fishing in Salento is an 8 meters Sea Fox 287cc with a 300 hp engine. On board there is plus an auxiliary 25 hp engine. It is equipped with fish tank.

The boat is also equipped with Garmin 92sv and Ecopam 8410 xsv professional depth sounder. This is to read perfectly the seabed and for the best sposts. On board there are also 11 rest rod holders, 6 fishing rod holders, 2 fish tank. In additiond to an igloo to keep drinks cool, outdoor shower with fresh and salt water, t-top and awning and sockets for electric reels.

–  Full day (6 hours) euro 500 – from 6 am to 12 am or from 10 am to 4 pm with the possibility of adjusting the times according to the needs of the group.

Included in the price: fuel consumption, bait, insurance.

Maximum 4 partecipants.

Any catch will remain the property of the partecipants.
